16-Gauge Stainless Steel

PREVENTING DENTS AND DINGS FROM DAILY USE

Incredible Lifelong Endurance

We use a 16-Gauge T304 stainless steel which is generally the thickest grade alloy commonly used for sinks. Including 20% Chromium and 10% Nickel, this means that our sinks are highly durable and it will never rust, preventing dents, dings, scratches and ensuring they hold their shape for their lifetime, despite heavy daily use.

16-GAUGE

Not all gauges are equal.

As we set out to create the most beautiful, modern, and durable sinks, we decided to use a much more dense and thicker alloy than most competitors do. At a 16-gauge, our sinks are 25% thicker than 18-gauge sinks. This provides excellent lifelong protection against corrosion, scratches, and other issues that affect most commonly used sinks.

Stainless Steel Finish:

Along with our 304-grade 16-gauge stainless steel, which is made up of 10% nickel, 20% chromium, and alloys including carbon, manganese, and silicon, we use a brushed stroke finish that stands up to scuffs and disguises scratches much better than the competition.

Kitchen sinks see a variety of chemicals, including citric acid, salt, and household cleaners on a daily basis. Our sinks stand up to these (and more) with our superior corrosion resistance. From a visual standpoint, light reflects evenly across the surface, producing a deep satin finish and a rich overall appearance.

Black3 Finish

A SMOOTHER, MORE EASILY CLEANED SURFACE

Black3™ Finish Process

We begin by Sand Blasting the sink to create a satin finish. We then use a process called PVD which vaporizes chromium & deposits the metal into the sink surface at a micron level, changing its color & adding to its durability. We finalize by added nano-coating, which creates a smoother, more easily cleaned surface. It’s often called ceramic coating, & is used on new automobiles to improve the look & longevity of the finish.

Black3™ Advantages:

Antibacterial:

Nano-coating helps to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms and bacteria. Non-coated sinks were 3xs higher than nano-coated sinks.

Scratch Resistant:

A single molecular web, our black stainless steel stands up to scuffs and scratches, as well as most chemicals & cleaners.

Rich Lustrous Finish:

Light reflects evenly across the surface producing a deep satin finish and a rich overall appearance.

Without Nano-coating

Without nano-coating bacteria embeds themselves into the surface
of the sink, in dents, scratches, and dings.

With Nano-coating

When nano-coating is applied, bacteria stays on the surface
allowing for easy cleaning.

Maximum Functionality

Created out of a need for efficiency in smaller kitchens with limited countertop space, these sinks have a built-in ledge that creates a custom track for holding kitchen accessories such as a (1) Colander, (2) Roll Mat and (3) Cutting Board which adds another working level within the sink. All of our PWW models come with all 3 accessories included.

Colander:

Designed to sit on the integrated ledge of your workstation sink, this multi-purpose colander is perfect for straining, rinsing, or air-drying kitchen utensils right over the sink.

Roll Mat:

Saves space & keeps your counter free of clutter. Place over the sink to air-dry dishes & produce minimal water drips directly into the sink without leaving puddles on the counter.

Cutting Board:

Extremely durable and used as a surface for cutting, slicing, chopping, or mincing. Designed for food juices to be retained so they don’t spill onto adjacent surfaces.
